Sara studied Psychology and Sociology at the University of Arizona. During her undergraduate studies, she worked in the legal industry for over five years on civil litigation cases in both state and federal courts. Sara’s forensic career began in 2012 when she became an AccessData Certified Examiner (ACE) and a licensed private investigator in Arizona. She is now a licensed private investigator in both Colorado and Texas. She is also a Cellebrite Certified Operator (CCO), Cellebrite Certified Physical Analyst (CCPA) and is certified in Cellebrite Mobile Forensics Fundamentals (CMFF) and in Cellular Technology, Mapping and Analysis through HawkAnalytics. Additionally, she is working toward her EnCE certification. Over her forensic career, Sara has worked on hundreds of civil and criminal cases all over the country and internationally. She has acquired and analyzed computers, external storage drives, cellular phones, proprietary surveillance systems, gaming consoles and other miscellaneous electronic devices. Sara’s work in the legal field paired with her extensive knowledge of digital forensics has proven to be invaluable in her career.
In her free time, Sara enjoys attending professional baseball and college basketball games, as well as volunteering her time. In 2012, she co-founded the Scott McDermott Sunflower Endowed Scholarship fund at Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, Arizona, in memory of her father. For over five years, she served as Secretary of the Board of Directors and Chair of the Development Committee for Homicide Survivors, Inc., a nonprofit organization in Tucson, Arizona, dedicated to serving families of homicide victims. Currently she remains an active member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving and helps raise donations for their annual Walk Like MADD campaign, as well as raising awareness to drinking and driving.
